Snuggie

For those of you who needed proof.... I wear this almost everyday. Especially since it has gotten cold this week. (We went to Walgreens the other day and they have leopard print, pink, and BYU styles. So Jealous!)

Halloween Fun

We celebrated Halloween last night with Matthew and Emily. Tonight we are going to the Hale Theater to see Little Shop of Horrors. Hopefully we will be able to avoid some of the trick or treating children.

Bob dressed up as Napoleon Dynamite, sweatsuit style. And I was, well, the package said Desirable Devil, but I told the kids I was a bat devil.

The evening started out with awesome table decorations and soup in a pumpkin bread bowl. We also had some hot wassail, and fruit salad.

We all participated in a trivia game about Halloween words. I thought I missed them all for sure, they were tricky. But Matthew and I pulled out a win getting 7/12 right. Bob and Emily both came in 2nd place with 6.

We then carved green peppers. I told Bob to go for it, and ours ended up being the green pepper covered in wax- it looked pretty good! Emily and Matt carved theirs to look like both Bob and I. Each on one side.

Using biscuit dough we made some donuts- which turned out really good. We finished off the night by watching The Corpse Bride and eating pudding. Thanks Matt and Emily!

{Temple-Pizza Tradition}

Since school started we have made a goal to go to the temple once a week. We go every Wednesday after I finish school. It is so nice to be in a habit, and not ever wonder when we are going next.(Temple painting done by Jeff Brimely, I just found it on google and thought it was pretty.)

We finish around 6:00 and are always starving. (We usually eat dinner around 5.) After a long day of teaching (no prep on Wednesday's) and then attending the temple, I don't feel like cooking dinner. There is a pizza place just around the corner from our apartment called Wise Guys. We went their once during the summer, but it was a little expensive so we hadn't gone back. We did sign up for their coupons via email though.

Every Wednesday they have individual pizzas for $1. These are just cheese pizzas but they are 8 inches and one is enough for dinner. (almost enough for Bob.) If you want toppings, each one is 50 cents extra. So every Wednesday as we leave the Temple we order 4 pizzas. We each eat one that night and then eat the leftovers for lunch the next day. It is around $6 for 4 pizzas and a topping on each one. We love it!

Fall Break Day 2

Day 2 was not waht I imagined, and quite different from yesterday. Needless to say, my house is still a mess.

Woke up with a headache and my stomach hurt.
Threw up, went back to bed.
Watched a movie
Head hurt even more so I took some ibuprofen
Threw that up minutes later.
Laid on the couch all day long.

Husband bought me a snuggie and the Proposal. (I know everyone will laugh, but I am ALWAYS cold and he is always hot, so Snuggie works out. We can still hold hands and cuddle and the blanket is only on me.) Mine is actually the blue one, that is all they had at Smiths. The Proposal was just as good as it was in Theaters. (Somehow I always watch that movie when I am sick.) Still feeling icky today. Hopefully I am better by Monday. School's calling my name, even if I am trying to ignore it.

Ooops I forgot these!

Here is the Give Thanks Sign I made. I had never done a stencil before, and it got messed up a little. Hopefully my next one turns out better.
Here are the large letters with modge podged scrapbook paper. I just need to find a place to hang my B. I hope my dad doesn't think that I made these for him, since they are his initials. haha.

Fall Break Day 1

What do you get when you have a day off from school?

1. Woke up at 10:00, and loved it more than anything!
2. Watched a little Good Morning Utah.
3. Drove to Hobby Lobby in South Jordan and bought some craft supplies.
4. Came home and ate left over pizza for lunch.
5. Crafted all afternoon long.

I modge podged a B and an H. B for barber and an H for my cousin who recently got married.
I started modge podging BOO for both of us last week, but still haven't finished. (Maybe they will be done after Halloween.)
I made a fall leaf wreath, and wanted to put the gold B inside of it, but it ended up being too small.
I used a stencil to make a sign that said Give Thanks- but the stencil moved a little bit. (I also used my cricut markers to color in the pumpkin. I didn't have those colors of paint.)
And last but not least I glued candy corns onto a wreath frame. (I found this idea on a craft blog, and loved how it turned out. I am going to get a brown ribbon tomorrrow to hang it from.

{Halloween Treats}

Last night I attempted making these Halloween Treats. Today in school for our art project we will be making them. (Am I crazy to do this with 23, 3rd graders?) They were really simple, and fun. Just make sure you don't eat the eyes. --You could use brown frosting, but I already had the googly eyes.

Ghost family of 3- That I gave to our friends that we had dinner with last night.

Ghost of 1- Trial of what the class would be making today. (The white frosting wasn't quite dry... sorry for the dripping.)

Bob eating the final product- "Wait, don't eat the eyes!"
Ingredients:
Nutter Butter-Ghost Body
Melted White Chocolate- Ghost covering
Googly Eyes/Frosting- Eyes
Graham Crackers- Base
Chocolate Frosting- Cover base and hold down decorations/ghost
Candy Corn and Pumpkins for Decorations

how can you not love this face?

I have the cutest class in the world! They each have so much character and personality. This boy is hilarious, he is always telling me about his dirt bike and how awesome his summer was. I have a class blog and take pictures weekly. Whenever I go to take a picture of him, he always gives me some crazy smile. We got our school pictures back today, and I had to snap a picture of his. I wish this picture did it justice, he is so funny!

The only thing I beat him at

Last night we went to Bob's mission reunion and met up with Bob's companion Casey and his wife Katelynn. After stuffing ourselves with delicious food and talking with old friends (Bob, not me) we went bowling. This is only the second time we have gone bowling. We went over Christmas break last year where I won 6/7 games in a two day period. I was a little nervous, but in the end I pulled through with 2 BIG wins. -- I am allowed to brag about this because Bob beats me in everything else we do. So at least I have Bowling!

Bob showing off his skills. He did a good job and had me quite nervous!
Us together at the bowling alley.

My score of the 2nd game- 167! This is my best score ever! It made me so happy! (Sorry about the horrible picture. I need a new camera and I am hoping for a new one for Christmas or my birthday. hint hint.)
