Thanksgiving HELP!

I was just notified that I will be bringing the vegetable to our Thanksgiving meal this year. Yes this is the first year I am contributing something on my own from my own kitchen. (Minus the pies for the pie contest, that I have never won.) Sooo.... I am in need of some help. What do you have for your Thanksgiving vegetable?

Recipes, ideas, anything.... please help!

Green bean casserole is always a good one. Mix canned green beans with cream of mushroom soup and top with french onions. Is anyone making yams or sweet potatoes? If not, you can buy them fresh, bake them like a potato, and top with a mixture of syrup, butter and brown sugar. Yum! I'm so excited (if ya can't tell :).

I'm making onions so don't bring those. I love creamed corn. If you want to make that I can give you my dad's recipe. Its pretty easy.

Sweet potatoes, always a favorite. I'm so happy that I don't have to bring anything to our dinner :)

Check out epicurious.com. Tons of great recipes, reviews, etc. We love the iPhone app and hopefully the website can give you some fancy ideas too!

Just do a nice, clean, fresh vegtable with nice salt and pepper seasoning. Nothing beats it. With all the other jib-jab, it's nice to just have beatifully cooked green beans. :)
